Ongoing Events
- Loop Road Closed for the Season - The road to the trailhouse will be open to cars Apr through Oct
- Wilderness Wagon Rides - Saturday and Sunday afternoons from May– June and September - October (weather permitting), the wilderness wagon will depart the Visitors Center on the hour: 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00. The narrated wagon ride travels the 3 mile trail house loop road, with stops at the trail house and wetland “school bus stop.” $1.00 per person. It’s a great way to shorten the hike to the river or to the wetlands if you have small children or non-hikers in your group. Get off at either stop and get picked up later! Group tours are also available on the Wilderness Wagon.
